Remus-Nothing to do but...

...to face the pain alone. <br />

And he knew it. Remus Lupin knew--had always known--that nobody could help to ease his suffering.<br />

Not even Sirius.<br />
<br />
he had hoped that, one day, that searing pain would ebb away just a little bit...maybe become a little more bearable...but it seemed like, every time he tranformed, a little piece of his soul was torn from him. As a result, it was worse each full moon.<br />

Sirius Black found his insides twisting into a knot as he heard the horrible sound that erupted from Remus' lips. It was neither a scream, nor a snarl, but a blood-curdling fusion of the two, and it shattered the nightly silence as if it were a fragile wine glass. <br />
<br />
<br />
And Remus was alone. He was completely alone as he felt his bones splinter and morph and his muscles stretch against their will. <br />
<br />
But he wouldn't have it any other way. <br />
<br />
He knew that if someone he loved--if Sirius had to feel this kind of anguish--it'd hurt all that much worse.
