Hey how's it going , This is my first contribution to Fanart Central, hopefully you can tell it's a phx , =) I used oil pastels over pencil, Oil pastel is my weapon of choice, and here is one of my earlier drawings using oil pastel.

Nice^_^It looks like firey water or something...^.^
Looks a bit messy around the eye, but that sort of thing can be difficult with oil pastels...
I think... Maybe^_^

I agree, it does look a bit messy, That could probably easily be fixed if I brought the black right up to the phoenix and not have the white between them, this would make the contrast higher and more appealing also.
