Alex and Rosa (yuri couple)

Yes a yuri couple. Two girls. And I'm actually in love with these two >_> They're going to be in my Fallen-Broken Angel story that I'm revisiting and redoing since I got to a point where I had a BAD writer's block X_x So, yeah, redoing it. And these two are just a few of the many people Fallen and Anpu will meet during their adventures.

Alex is the boyish looking girl. She's the "prince" of a large human kingdom. The kingdom is under the watchful eye of a vampire Lord, who once preyed mercilessly on the humans of the kingdom. To save his people a previous King centuries ago made a deal with the vampire Lord. The vampire Lord was to leave the humans of the kingdom alone, and for doing so any females born into the royal family would be taken to him at the age of 16 and the Lord would do with them as he wished, never to be seen again. When Alex was born, her mother the Queen died in childbirth and she had no siblings, male or female, making her the last and sole heir to her father's throne. Not wanting his daugther taken, the King made everyone present at the birth to keep her gender a secret and they announced that the Queen gave birth to a baby boy. Alex was told of the vampire Lord's deal at a young age and so continued to lie about her gender and was raised as and acted like a boy.

Rosa is a shapeshifter that saw Alex playing in the forests once when they were children. Shapeshifters don't really have gender, but seeing Alex and thinking she was a boy Rosa shaped herself into a little girl at the time. After meeting in the forest the two became inseparable. As they got older they fell in love and Alex told Rosa her secret.
