My family and I stayed up till Midnight last night to greet the new year. We didn't hold any special parties or anything. . . My grandparents were watching TV while was looking at Anime stuff. lol<br />

Yay, 2006 is finally here! ^_^ As a little treat, I shall give you all some eye candy. *points upward* I hope you all like it! <br />

Well, ths turned out WAAAAAAAY different than I expected. In a good way though. When I was coloring this, i took the Ultramarine and True Blue colored pencils to color the shadow regions of Suikun's fur. Then I added the Light Cerulean Blue to make the lighter shadows and midtones. . . Then, just for the heck of it, I used the Cloud blue for the rest. Cloud Blue is just about the lightest blue Prisma pencil in the entire set. It's considerably lighter than any of the other blues that i used. So when I was done, it really gave this piece a nifty shading job! Sooo. . . I went ahead and did it to the mane and crest too. I am simply enraptured with the results! Maybe I'll try this shading style more frequently when I do more cartoonish pieces.<br />

My scanner wanted to the eat blues for it's supper today. It retained the vivid colors, but it took away the softer appearance of the shading. Oh well.
