I did this about one year ago entirely in graphite. I worked on this for a space of three weeks (between 1-3 hours in a sitting).<br />

This was a gift for a dear, dear friend of mine. ^^ It also won a first-place award in the art contest at my local county fair. :D<br />
<br />
I added the border in Adobe Photoshop Elements, if you were curious. <br />

I looked through your gallery and i Love all your pix (i've decided to commet on my favourite! ^-^ it was close between this and the 'Icy glance' which is beautiful btw)
u must have had a hell of a lot of patients, but it DEFFIATELY paid off
I think it's amazing and incaptivating.
The idea of framing the eye with leaves is ingenius - it stops the view from trailing off the page as if there's more to see. I absolutely love it
