Ok, so this has no relation to YGO at all... except for that's Bakura.

This is partly because I love Victorian style clothes (though I'm not sure if these are totally accurate) and I love Ryou Bakura. I needed a combination of these somewhere in my sketchbook.

It's also to make fun of his accent in the dub. Does it say anywhere in the manga that he's English? Someone enlighten me. I just read that he was a transfer student.
I mean he's polite, sure, but does that mean he has to go around gasping "Oh, my!" and "Great Scott!" at every oppurtunity?

His Japanese voice was so sweet. Poor boy. Meh. He's still my favourite character.

Erm, rant over, I guess. I hope you like the pic.

Escariot I like this pic, it's very original. Since most people have already offered their opinions as to why Ryou's British, I won't bother repeating what they say. What I will say though is that he was made British in the dub to add some form of difference between the characters so that it wasn't excusively American accents. Plus the fact Ryou is so incredibly pale and wears "Britsh Clothes" (pfft, yer right. We're both from Britain and how many people did you see in the days that YGO was made wearing shirts like that? Although, it seems to be quite a fashionable thing now...)So yeah I like this pic. Good job!!

Doo_Doo_FecesWow, this is very proportional. Their are very nice details to the legs, and though I don't know who it is, its still good.

BillyYongI like how you've done the colours; especially his jacket. Everything else is great too. But especially the jacket.

The border is also very unique, as well as the background. But if you want him to have a more noble aspect; as is the way of the victorian upper-classes of old, then might I suggest that he not be holding his cane in such a fashion. (Men only hold it that way if they are being threatened or as a warning not to get close.) Instead, let him rest with one hand upon the cane, (not in charlie chaplin style mind you.) or have him walking with it like your dad would an umbrella.

Hope this helps.

AznRyoOhkiI like victorian clothes, too!! Hehe, he reminds me of Willie Wonka. The background reminds me of a graveyard, though, very fitting.

I agree with Wolfyu. In the manga, Ryou's just from somewhere in Japan. He's very polite so, because they can't use honorifics in an English dub, they made him British... Or so I believe. It suits him well I think.

WolfyuI adore the colors used in this piece! You've created a very nice mood, and it's pleasing to the eye. :)

About Ryou, though. In the manga, he doesn't act or sound English in any way. As far as we know, he's just from some other part of Japan. *shrug* In the dub, he's definitely English, though I can't figure out /why/ exactly they decided to give him the accent. I like the touch, though, so I don't mind. :3

Dragon_WolfieRyou looks great in victorian clothes, I love the border too.
As to your questions I don't know if he actually is British, but he sure sounds it in the dub. I think most people take it that he is British, but I don't know if he actually is.
Unfortunately for me, I've only seen the dub so I don't know what his Japanese voice is like.
He's also my favourite.

Shinigami-no-KazeBakura looks really cute in victorian clothes. I like the border. It all looks very grungy, which is a nice look for this. Great job.
