Wow, I've been long gone from this place! I just checked out all the comments in my pics and I'm totally in AWE! Thank you ppl! Thanks so much for posting as well as commenting on my profile page. :D
Well, time to get down to business. I found a new medium interest while I was away: oil painting! Yep, here's a painting made of oils and lots of love of the AWESOME Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7! Yes, I've become obssessed with this man. Now I have my eyes on two silver-haired, sword-wielding hot hunks: Dante and him. Hey, boys, don't worry. There's enough of me to go around. :p
Some of you PSM subscribers might've recognized this painting since it got featured in the Fan Art section of the Oct issue! :o I was so surprised to see it there since it's rare those guys accept traditional art. But hey, it means I was able to get past the barriers! Even better, it showed up on the same issue that was covering DMC3! There is a God... Anyway, thanks for looking!

Wow! This is pretty cool you know. As a traditional artist myself, I totally sympathise with you on that point. I love pencils but not too many people seem to agree with me and computer based art seems to be all the go these days.
When I was younger I tried to get onto an exclusive website for the best Sailor Moon artists out and got bluntly told that I wasn't good enough and that even if I got better it was unlikely that I'd get on because I didn't have anything done that was to do with computers. Living in isolation means I haven't exactly got any way to learn so I've stuck with pencils ever since. It was a harsh lesson for a forteen year old but one that I've learned and moved on from.
So basically, my congrats to you on your result. I'm just getting into oils myself and will hopefully start to work steadily in them.
All my best and I look heaps forward to seeing more of your stuff in future. ^_^
