I have to admit you have better handwriting than I do. ;)

For a long time I had not done calligraphy.

If I were serious I would have been training.
Time, patience and practice are the keys to calligraphy.

So little time, so many things to do.... :)

As far as I remember, I've always been bad at calligraphy, especially when I had to write things in hurry.

During my university education, I made some considerable attempts to improve it, example can be seen here http://www.fanart-central.net/pictures/user/TeeJay87/842612/Igoryoskha-Uzhashnaya-Koskha (I've written "vodka" in Russian using my tablet, which is also handwriting).

As you see, calling my handwriting "beautiful" would be an exaggeration, but at least it can be read without difficulties. ;)

Readability is an important point.
Some handwritings look stunningly beautiful,
but on the other hand (no pun intended), they may be difficult to decipher,
especially the vintage cursive handwritings...
