The bird from your painting reminds me character from Cartoon Network TV show by J.G. It's one of few CN cartoons made after 2000, which somehow convinced me to watch them. ;)

This little blue jay looks like a cool cartoon character.  :-)

He has one advantage - when his racoon mate ( who behaves in the same way like most of teens on dA do, check http://regularshow.wikia.com/wiki/Rigby the part about his personality ) does something stupid, blue jay has common sense and often saves his friend from peril.

In short - certainly positive character. ;)
