Vow of Destiny

Before the venture leading to the third epic, Sora calls his friends Riku and Kairi to participate in the dividing of the Paopu. Instead of the traditional split between two people, Sora wished to involve the three of his closest comrades. As the Paopu was split into three and handeded out to each of the three friends, they held their slices up high and vowed "May our friendship last forever, until the day we die!"
