Harpooneers

Riku, Axel, and Roxas act as Harpooneers (harpooners) on board the Aime Whaler. Their roll in the hunt is to strike the whale at a close enough range where their irons will stick deep and hold fast, no matter how hard a struggle the whale would make. As you can see by the design of the iron of the harpoon (the head) the design was meant to hold fast. Over the years, harpoons have become more intricate, from developing a retractable foot-lock, to an exploding head which gives maximum damage to the whale, at times killing it instantly, though not always guaranteed.
