Hooray! My first Gaara picture! *laughs* I actually drew this one about a year ago and then found it recently and decided to finish it.
With this one I really took my time and tried to really focus on improvement. It was a lot of work but I am really happy with the end result.
The one tail was a bit of a pain though. The fur was a difficult color to get exactly right. (Just mix lots of browns and a bit of grey) ^ ^
Anyway I hope you all enjoy it.
Materials: Black pen and Prisma colored pencils.

Wow, that's very nice...you've definitely improved since I last saw your work when I used to come to this site regularly (about a year ago I think). The composition is very dynamic, the light rays are very well done (I love how the light looks like it's filtering through the dust from the sand), and the contrast adds to the drama. But there is one little flaw: you didn't do a very good job in the defining the space between the racoon hand and Gaara's figure. Somehow that area looks very flat. I would suggest using shadow to create a sense of space; it seems as if the hand would cast a shadow on the gourd.
But anyway, the rest of the picture is amazing! Keep up the good work!
