Fly Me Through The Stars

Whew, I'm tired now. That pic was a lot of work. It started on Friday as a random doodle of a sleeping wolf. I quickly realized the pose and expression were all wrong for sleep (at that point only the head and front legs were in their finalized sketch). After a few minutes, this popped into my head. I gotta say, this is a huge jump from my last big project, and faster even. I feel really proud of myself, I worked hard on this. I love the new techniques I tried out, particularly the gradient shading. The one thing that really bugs me is the background stars, but I guess you can't win 'em all. I spent an extra 30 mins fixing things and cleaning up the lines more (shock! colored lines from me that actually look ok!). Anyway, enjoy!
