Description

Description
Stratadrake
The third entry in my current redesigns of the elemental dragons, meet the element for water, in her fourth (and possibly final) incarnation. An important element since it's one of the primary substances present in living organisms, water also wields power over the ice element (since ice is water), and in vaporous form can wield limited power in the air element as well.

This drawing took a bit longer than usual due to one main difficulty, the chosen viewing angle and how to portray the dragon's near wing at that angle. While I may not be completely and 100% satisfied with the results, they are good enough, and after a span of 8 days, it's time to move on to the next dragon.

Next element: Earth (v3.0)

Medium: Colored pencil
Time: About 5~6 hours
Scale (full view): 75px/in

mickey_da_silver_RayqazaAmazing detail! I think it to be a bit unpreportioned, though... of course after 3 hours staring at Paintshop tutorials, ones eyes get a little strange. o.o I love the way you colour, im so jelous. *envy envy* Your dragons are so original and creative. Well.... i think ill go and envy you some more. o.o Keep it up?

xXDarkHuntressXxout of all the works i've seen of yours, i like this one the best. well, i have two pages to go, but i like this a lot. ya if you wouldn't mind checking out my dragons, i'd really appreciate it cuz i can tell you're an expert at this stuff; i promise they're worth it. if you could do that, i'd greatly appreciate it. the themes you have with this dragon are really cool, i really like the ends of the wings.
cool

Fairygurl27another wonderful dragon, I like the pose on this one, and the water color scheme is very nice, the blending of color and how well the colors fit together, I agree with the person above on how you can really tell it is an aquatic dragon, very well done *adds to favs*

SoaringKittyAre there scales on that thing, or are they just not detailed like the others? Any ways, The color sceme is nice, and so is the detail, as always. Personally, I would have drawn part of the near wing's upper side, just so it would look U shaped, as if the wing is partly folded.
