Eh...there is probably not much interest in this type of art here but I recently restored my old hard drive that crashed a while ago and found this oil painting I did of a Cardinal in a Holly Bush. It took me forever to complete but it did win several awards in a couple of art shows...so...I thought some people may enjoy it. Oils on hard canvas board. Original size is 12 x 9.

This is very nice piece of art work. I really love the results of Oil Painting. I've always wanted to give it a try too, but people say it's hard to deal with and it takes days to dry...All that old fashioned art back in the centuries looked so good in oil painting, and ... it's just a great media that I absolutely love!

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. I really appreciate it! Yes, there is nothing like the beauty of oil paintings but IT IS a pain to work with. That's why I don't paint very often. This small painting took me months to complete but I guess it's worth it in the end. You should definitely try it when you get the chance. Thank you again!
