Dist the Reaper, Dist the Rose

Once upon a time, there was a lovely lineart.
Then the artist (a foolish child indeed) decided to embark upon enhancing said lineart with sharpies, which she in no way had any control of nor had even begun to master.
Said poor, unfortunate lineart died.
Brutally.

So, uh, my bad.

Anyway, this in no way is actually anything at all like the real Dist out there. (From tales of the abyss, btw)
The real Dist is a pain-in-the-@$$, egotisical, ugly whiny brat in an armchair.
ALWAYS IN AN ARMCHAIR.

He's only there for comedic relief, anyway.

But I was just drawin' a guy, and I thought his expression was kinda insane. Somewhere along the line, glasses came in, and then it became a sorta weird Dist. D: (But it shows quite a lot of influence from Hellsing, no? ^^;)

I'm going to be shot for this, I know.
(But... hey, wouldn't he be cool, if he were like this??? :o )

Anyway.
Rose or the Reaper?
Ephemeral Beauty or Singular Immortality??
