Sailboat

Description

Unfortunately it doesn't look half as good in the scan, nor did the whole thing scan (stupid scanner) but this is one of several Sumi-E ink paintings I've done. This is one of my best, of a man in a sailboat. Following Japanese tradition it is simplistic with few lines, but yet makes a complete picture. There was a little duck floating in the water, but the scan cut it out. ;_;

No lessons. ^_^ I just teach myself. Sumi-e is lots of fun, and very relaxing. You should try it sometime! ^_^
