Whoa. I actually make something cool in 3DS Max. AND I get a good grade on it!! *gasp*
Actually, I'm quite pleased. I worked pretty hard on this and got to apply a lot of my new knowledge.
Not the best 3D modelling ever, but still pretty cool.

This was one of my first serious attempts at modeling in 3D, so there's definitely flaws in it, and the texture and lighting is definitely not perfect. The lighting especially was a dog, since the original painter could make up his own lighting if he wanted, making it VERY difficult to replicate. I believe there are over six lights in this scene, and it's still not perfect. But deadlines are deadlines! I know a lot more about texture and lighting now. :)

To be fair and honest with you, if I had to choose between traditional mediums and digital, I'd choose traditional. Just take a look at my paintings and you'll see what I mean. But digital mediums and 3D have warmed up to me a lot, and I really rather enjoy them now. Though truth be told, I'm doing it for the money. LOL I'm looking forward to that job after I graduate that pays me $50K+ to do something I enjoy doing.
