Crappy title. Drew this before AX. Inked it with one of those .05 mm multiliner pens, instead of Deleter, with questionable results. Nervous hands or something like that. It's more obvious in the b/w version.
Um, if anyone knows of a way to do grass that is 1) easier, 2) looks better (because this doesn't look too hot), please let me know. xD;;;
Artist blocked for the past few weeks and right now. Hopefully something more interesting later.
Materials: Mechanical pencil, multiliner pen, Painter IX, Deleter Illust

Oh, and the blue beast is cute^^!
Umm, I think it's hoof is a little too small.
The hoof looks like it's way below the head of the animal, yet both and links head are on level with the ground. THe hoof should be draw bigger so it looks nearer to the head and on same level. Because your animal head is overlapping the leg, the hoof will still appear behind the head and in the right place for stability. Or perhap you can remove the hoof all together, thought it make the head look laid down or detached..I think that is why you put the hoof in their ^^!
Anyway good art^^!

Maybe if you drew the grass similar to how you drew links hair, and you don't have to draw every single blade of grass to imply it (although its high detail, but our eys will register it as grass all round as long as the terrain and color doesn't turn to dirt or rock ^^)!
Maybe try (with it still following the direction of pressure on them):
thin spread out spike blades (short or long)
crown like lines spread out and here or there
or thick blade grass straight or overlapping (thickness just below that of links hair lockes) and spread out so not to draw every overlapping blade, but left as an "you understand it's grass"
Hope that helps^^!
