They are very cute, and the colours are nice.

I'm just worried they will distract from the function of the to do list.

I worried about that too. Maybe if you write in thick black marker the tasks will stand out enough.

Maybe try making a layer of a light colour over top, and lower the opacity. That may make it easier to see.

...Huh? I'm not sure how to do that...

Oh! I thought this was a photoshop work.... how old is the paint program you are using?

It's pretty new. Not sure exactly how new...

....Well, I was hoping I could figure it out, but I had to go online.

You know what? Not even in my wildest fantasies, I could do something like that in Paint. I speak the truth when I say I didn't belive my eyes when it said "MS Paint". I was like: O____________O You... You are kidding me... Right?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG- It is so creative- gosh. It just...blows my mind! Seriously, if I was joining my own contest, I never would have thought about such a creative from-the-sky-to-the-ocean-baby to-do list! IT is so extensive! And no, detail si goods. Detail is always good. ;A; Just look at me. *looks down on the ground* ;-; I put so much detail in my pictures I have to size it down with PS. That is how lame I am. HHAAH who has to use PS to SIMPLIFY her art? Just...lovely work.

I was caught by surprise when I saw this as well. I knew you were a good artist, but I did not know you could use MSPaint so well! -And your fantasy work is astonishing- you seem to have good experience with making chibies of them. I want a sticker of your giant squid down there. It looks extra comfortable snuggling itself against its favorite sunken ship before it drifts back to sleep. ;) I have so many other things to say about this- OH! The amazing color transition is probably what makes this not as confusing as you think it looks. The transition of sky to ground to ocean is subtle and you slowly change the color gradient. That must have taken a bit to paint bucket, so I applaud you for blending it in well! BRAVO! Your entry is put up, and you will find out the winners after August 15, 2011. I'm glad it's not too confusing or detailed, I was a bit worried about that. :) Fantasy creatures in general are my favorite things to draw. I like making stuff up, too, but I thought it'd be better if I drew creatures people would recognize here.
Color blending in Paint isnt actually that hard, in most cases. Sometimes you get a color that just does NOT want to blend into another... generally, it's just easier with PS. But I like Paint better, mysteriously.
*gasp* Luckylace! Did I just hear you diss your own work?! *goes into scolding mode* BAD luckylace!

I'm in love with all the chibi fantasy creatures and the fact that you started at the top and went all the way to the bottom (sky to ocean floor).

The phoenix and dragon are probably my two favorites :D

Nahh, your is more like an actual to-do list, mine isn't like a to do list at all. It's just a picture with lines on it. Not very easy to write on. I'd MUCH rather have a to-do list packet with your design printed on them.

Ya know, we could do this all day lol
