Killer Instinct

Because no one else knows the strain and the struggle, knows the pain, dedication, commitment, and effort. You are a beast among beasts. Fine-tuned, honed, with razor sharp senses and reflexes. They don't know what it's like when the gun goes off, when the starting machine beeps, when the countdown ends, and your world narrows in a single instint to one thing; GO. A lifetime of training for a single moment of time. Body and mind united, the beast is unleashed full force. Surging forwards to hold on to first the others pull ahead. But you hunt them down, one by one, attack and crush them mercilessly as they begin to fail, devour them and burst forwards. Down to the very last one. Neck and neck you battle towards the end, a fight to the death that goes beyond thought and pain, driven by one thing alone. Victory. The beast roars furiously - the end is there. You stretch out your hand, take the last stride, pull the last stroke...<br />
