This is the wig I'm gonna use for my cosplay-ish Hallowene costume this year. :)

I'm not sure how much ribbon I used (I'll go find out), but it's something over 60ft I can tell ya that... :x
I don't have any of those fancy styrofoam manakin-heads so I 'borrowed' my little brother's toy, Bob the Builder hard-hat(cuz it's smaller than real hard-hats), and put atop my cat's scratching-post and put the wig on top of that... ^^ (you'll have to forgive the blue thing in the background... I wanted to use sunlight and the breeze was blowing the sheet offa da chair...) >_:P

You can get this kind in the sewing/craft section of Walmart (all the one's I've ever been in have a section like that, and its usually in the far-back corner of the store), or you can go to an actual fabric store. (they'll have more to chose from....meaning isles and isles devoted entirely to ribbons) :-)Where not to look: the birthday/party/gift-wrapping section. They tend to only have the weird curling-ribbons that shred. X-P
Hmm.... *has had a thought*
On the other hand.... If you get those and deliberately shred them to aproximately a hair's width, you could probably make a very interesting wig outta that... *pictures something very curly* 3:-|

Wow, ribbons. It seems so unnatural, but --strangely enough-- it looks way more perfect than synthetic hair wigs. I guess it's because he doesn't have real hair. The ribbons to perfectly with how he is depicted. You rock!sakura_aka_OOC on May 21, 2005, 10:49:08 AM
