MEDUSA: She was the beautiful daughter of the sea titans Porcys and Ceto. Medusa was the youngest of three sisters Stheno and Euryale; they were priestesses in the temple of Athena. In a blasphemous act the sea god Poseidon smitten by Medusa, raped the priestess in the very temple of Athena. This action so enraged the goddess Athena that she blamed the victim, turning Medusa and her two sisters into hideous creatures with snakes for hair and a gaze that turns mortals to stone. These beasts were known as the Gorgons. When Perseus beheaded Medusa, out of her blood sprang the winged stallion Pegasus and the giant horse being Chrysaor (wearing full body armor) fathered by Poseidon... The more intriguing the subject, the more I enjoy drawing it...

jiraThank you! "supahfreak"! The diversity of world myths have always intrigued me and I always take an objective approach during research, until I've gather as much interpreted points of view as possible, then I go with the story line I like best! Thank you again!

jiraIt's a shame, but sometimes bad things happen to people for no apparent reason...Medusa was just another victim! Thanks!

NightbirdGreat job I love looking at your art because I learn about stuff when seeing it! Great job! I like that story but poor Medusa she always ends up in a bad sitch in the end and she didn't do anything but look pretty. I like it!

jiraThe myths are at the foundations of all written literature today! Without them, there'd be no romance novels, adventure stories, dramatic epics or today's superheroe comics and video games... Thanks!
