ISIS: Daughter of Geb (the god of earth) and Nut (the goddess of the sky). Wife, sister of Osiris the god of the dead and mother of Horus, inherit ruler and god of the sky... Isis pretending to be a loyal source of help to an ailing Ra, poisoned by a serpent's bite (which she sent to inflict him)... Isis was able to coerce Ra into uttering the sacred source of his power that she may cure him with her enchantment and at the same time gain a foot hold over rulership to the throne of earth with her husband Osiris...

The_Vampire_QueenAh yes. Isis, Mother of Horus. I actually seem to recall her having wings. I may have seen a statue of her with wings somewhere...

Anyways, this is a gorgeous drawing. I especially love the colors and the detail you put into the wings.

Black_BreezeI always thought that what Isis did to Ra was mean. I knew she did it in order for Horus, but come on. . . HE was an old man. Leave him alone. Nice depiction, but I don't remember Isis with wings. Heehee, she looks so alert. . . *favs*
