In the Japanesse version of the game, everything has different art. midna has longer hair in the jap. version and it looks sort of like that. *points to Midna's hair* and the fused shadow part was a Wii thing. Link was left handed with the sword, and since the magority of people are right handed, they had to switch everything around to meet the need of the right hand. Just answering the question.
