Calvin and Hobbes is a popular comic strip created by Bill Waterson that ran in newspapers from 1985 to 1995. There are 18 collection books (which i own all of).

It's about a six-year old boy with an incredibly advanced vocabulary and perception of the world and his talking stuffed tiger. :P
