FAC Halloween Contest (2011)

CONTEST: Draw your Favorite Game/Anime/Original Character as other characters or ZOMBIES!

Deadline: October 31, 2011 (CLOSED)[/color]

Theme: What makes cosplaying as gruesome Amnesia monsters or putting on legit Batman underwear and mask and going out into public fun? The fact you can instill both fear and disturbing comments like, "Dude, you need to get a life" of course! [/b]

Draw anyone! -Your favorite anime characters, game characters, your aunt Maria, or original characters, and put them in Pokemon, superhero, fat suits, zombie costumes- you name it! Just make sure to get a real laugh/scare while drawing it.

Rules:
1. Only 1 submission per user
2. When October 31, 2011 12:00 AM passes, submissions are closed for the contest. I do not take late work, no matter how good you are. :)
3. No overly explicit material allowed. Come on, we do not want to put porn on the main site!

Scoring Guidelines:
Originality: 40 points

- Do not just put a costume on a person and make him/her stand there. There has to be something scary/hilarious/special about the costume/person that makes people say, "I would have never thought of that!" Make it really express the true spirit of Halloween!

Skill: 30 points

- You can use crafts, digital mediums, traditional mediums(etc.) to express this theme, but you need skill to make it look good! Whatever style you work with, whether anime or realism, make it synchronize with your idea, and your skill will inevitably show.

- That is right. For those of you want decent points for this category and stink at making acceptable backgrounds- you better start practicing. What type of Halloween is without the eerie Halloween atmosphere (ex: cemeteries, pumpkins, slime...etc)? The character may be the center, but the background is what really sets up the Halloween atmosphere!

- Color can bring out fire in the eyes of angry zombies, faces of moonlit werewolves, and teeth of hungry vampires. This is not only to help make your picture more appealing, but also to help stray from simple flat colors. However, this category is incredibly wavered because extremely black and white schemes can definitively go with the current theme.

- With gruesome, bloody cut limbs, evident ribs and intestines,an obvious mastery of MSPaint, and a knack for drawing different art styles, this Halloween picture makes you look at your favorite childhood cartoon characters a little differently afterwards...

Thus, the points were too close for comfort. Literally, the winner won by .3 points. If you look at the median of points, people were beating each other by .4, .6, and sometimes .2. Thus, you are all equally fabulous artists! I hope everyone had a fearful/toothached Halloween! See you next contest!
