gar har har..... due to the fact that the picture counter is BROKEN, i found out the hard way that i had reaches 200 pics when i posted that crappy tegaki charizard. so technically this is my 201st, but who cares. :P
So i got this idea while i was talking to Chris. We were on the phone and i was looking out the window and DING! a firefly flashed in my face. then another one. and another one. yeah, my backyard was full of those shiny guys. so i sadi, "omg i should draw one of my characters with a firefly!" and Chris says "you should draw lightning, you know, 'cuz they call them LIGHTNING bugs." and i'm just like, "THATS GENIUS!!" so this is the result. i had to mess around with layers and settings a lot, but i like how it turned out.
for those of you who didn't know, yes. lightning glows. but only when he feels like it. and only his stripes. :D

oh wowz... the eys are so pretty and the glowing fur makes the whole picture sparkly! 8D. How'd you do the glowing effect on photoshop? I found out more of the tools, but i'm still a little stuck.mechadragon13 on July 13, 2009, 7:09:59 AM

I use a thick rough brush at 15% opacity, go over the area a few times then use the blur setting. That's how I do it anyway.^^Fireflies making 200. LOL.X3 And the curiosity in Lightning's face. It'd make anyone's heart melt.X3
