Cyrus: *shakes his head and nudges her softly* Everything Kyo said.... everything revolving around the fact where he said he didn't care about you.... that was all a lie. He lied because he wanted you to hate him... to be scared of him... he wanted you to stay away from him. But every single word he said trying to convince you he didn't care... was ripping him apart from the inside and now... there's nothing left... *looks down*

Melina: *closes her eyes softly* looks like there's nothing left in both of us...

Cyrus: Kyo's plan... was that he wanted you to hate him... so you wouldn't chase him... he wanted you to forget about him... before he met you, he was what he is now... and before his demon side started acting up he was gentle and kind... a true gentleman... I suppose you could say, after he massacred that entire village and many others he lost his true sanity...

Melina: *slowly opens her eyes again* the healing of something as tramatizing as that night is near impossible...and will never heal completely...I don't know how I could ever help him at least figure things through from that...well....he got the 'me not chasing him' part down, didn't he? *looks at Cyrus through half-lidded eyes*

Kyo: I suppose I do.... *speaks very softly leaning against a tree trunk looking directly at her, blood dripping down from his fangs to his chin. Half of his body is in shadow, his green eyes shining.* but I don't know if that's a good or bad thing anymore....

Melina: *instantly closes her eyes and turns her head away* *says in a soft voice* why are you here...?

Kyo: when i let you go.... *puts hand softly on his heart* Something inside me twinged... until it hurt so much it was unbearable... and I finally realised what I had done... *looks up into the night sky, blood dripping onto the ground from his fangs*

Melina: *opens her eyes half way and looks at him, her lips slightly parted* *stays silent*

Kyo: the pain i went through when i watched you leave... thinking it was the last time I'd ever gaze upon you... it was the worst I ever experienced in my entire life... I'm so lost... *puts hand over half of his face clutching at his skin and looking down into the shadows* the thought of living life without you.... I was going to kill myself after you left...

Melina: *continues to look at him* *says almost weakly* ....what made you stop from killing yourself...?

Kyo: *turns head to look at her through soft eyes, his lips parted* maybe because I finally realised what love really is...

Melina: *eyes widen for a moment before softening slowly, seemingly speechless*

Kyo: *tilts head innocently* why are you looking at me like that...? *smirks softly at her closing his eyes*

Melina: *a soft smile appears on her face before slowly looking down at the ground* ...does there have to be a reason?

Kyo: *knits his eyebrows a little confused* whenever humans express any emotion... there has to be a reason for them to be doing so.... I don't fully understand humans... but at least I know some things right...? *leans more against the tree, the blood from his fangs still dripping on the ground* When you left... I spent a little while thinking.... i was so confused... inside me, it felt like i was on fire... I killed so many... as if thinking I could find an answer by feeding.... *looks away into the darkness through half-lidded eyes* I love you Melina.... and nothing will ever change that fact... *turns head and looks back at her still smiling softly*

Melina: *slowly opens her eyes, her lips still tugging in a gentle smile* ....I love you too, Kyo....

Kyo: *smiles at her* then will you accept my apology for trying to drive you away...? *extends hand to her, reaching out for her*

Melina: *pauses for a moment, looking down at his hand and then back at him* *nods and gently places her hand in his* yes, I will....

Kyo: *grabs her hand roughly and pulls her to him embracing her tightly wanting to never let go* *whispers in her ear* thank you, Melina....

Melina: *embraces him just as tightly, a few happy tears running down her cheeks as he whispers to her* *holds him even tighter, burrying her face in his shoulder*
