Description

This is my attempt to make a halfway decent poitrait of the late, great Kurt Cobain's face. Note the shadowy left side. This could be interpreted to be a symbol of his shadowy past and fateful future, or it can be interpreted as what the photo it's based off of didn't give me. Hope you think it looks like him.

I have a kit for that, but I haven't used it in so long, I've gotten used to bearing down on the pencil in different areas. Thanks for the idea.

Very cool. I remember noticing your work while organizing the singers/bands category last night. Really good proportions and shading. You'd probably like the effects of picking up some pencils in a variety of hardness values. It makes shading dark areas a lot easier. Blending stumps are cool to play with, too, for smoothing out shadows. :) \m/
