Wizard of Foster's

This here is a Halloween picture I created that I meant to get off the ground for many Halloweens. It features Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. And the main characters; those most remembered anyway, are all dressed out and ready to trick or treat.


I chose 'The Wizard of Oz' theme cause I personally find it charming and somehow fitting for the Foster's crew. Plus I wanted a movie based costume dress-out for the gang.

Frankie is Dorothy. Looking lovely in plaid. ^^ Coco is Glenda the Good Witch. (Oh and I couldn't fit anyone else on here; so there's no Duchess as the Wicked Witch of the West. Besides..she'd probably hate to trick-or-treat. Maybe I coulda fit Madame Foster onto here.) Wilt is the Scarecrow; I really think he looks good as the Scarecrow. And Eduardo is..who else...the Cowardly Lion. That TOTALLY fits him.^__^

For Bloo and Mac the decision was unanimous. Mac was the Tin Man and Bloo is dressed as Toto. You know if I was able to; I might've fit Mr. Herriman is 'The Wizard' himself. But all-in-alll I think I got the theme across.

The first panel has Frankie, Wilt, Eduardo and coco waiting on the sidewalk for their Tin Man (Mac) and Bloo (Toto) to come by to begin their Wizard of Oz costume romp on Halloween Night. They are figuring out what happened. Eduardo suspects "Halloween Espectros". In English, that means "Halloween Spooks!!" but since it's Spanglish he mispronounced it otherwise he woulda said 'Espectros de Halloween" .


Now the bottom panel shows what happened, or will happen to Mac and Bloo. Mac's bully brother Terrence also dressed out for Halloween, but not in the 'Wizard of Oz' theme. He chose a more fitting movie character to fit his punk bully nature. None other than Alex DeLarge from 'A Clockwork Orange'. Really, this whole purpose of this Halloween picture was to dress Terrence as Alex all decked out in his Droogie derby, false eyelash and cup with suspenders. XD The Wizard of Oz theme was a sub idea I decided to fit into it.

I don't think Mac's Tin Man outfit will help him if Terrence catches him. XD And Bloo's Toto outfit doesn't seem to cover much either. Note how Bloo himself is getting into character; jacking Dorothy's lines to try and get him and Mac awaty from Terrence; who has also really gotten into his own character!! VIDDY WELL! ^__^

I am happy how the theme turned out for this picture. Normally I wouldn't shade a Foster's comic but I need practice. Certainly not the best shade job but it's the message I wanted to get across that counts. That and getting this done for Halloween.
