One hundred years ago, The Emancipation Proclamation was signed.
One Hundred years later, we must face the fact that we are not free.
One hundred years later, our lives are crippled by segregation.
One hundred years later, we live in a lonely world of poverty in a world ofmaterial prosperity.

Now is the time to make real promises.
Now is the time to rise from the dark.
Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity.
Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksand of racial justice

We cannot be satisfied while we are a victim.
We cannot be satisfied as long as we are fatigued by racism.
We cannot be satisfied as our mobility is limited to the ghettos.
We will not be satisfied until justice rolls like water and righteousnessis a mighty stream.

I have a dream this nation will live out it's creed.
I have a dream injustice will become justice.
I have a dream oppression will become freedom.
I have a dream judgment will be not of skin color but of character.

If America is to be a great nation,
Let freedom ring from every mountainside
Let freedom ring for black men white men.
When we let freedom ring we will be free at last.
