You wiped your gallery? That's no fun.
Anyway, about that comment you gave me. Why do all my dragons look "the same", why do they all have the same structure, you ask?
I'm going to answer that by asking you, why do cats all have the same general shape? Why do all wolves look alike, why do birds have more or less the same structure as each other?
You see what I'm getting at, right? That's why all of my dragons are built using the same/similar underlying body structures. It's because, by my definition of the word "dragon", they're similar creatures to begin with. My Fire, Ice, and White dragons are like lions, tigers, and jaguars (and yes, the fire/ice species can interbreed a little).
Now, as for me using similar poses for all of them... well, you can call that an artistic weakness of sorts. This happens to me a lot, when it's my first time drawing a type of character (e.g. dragon), I tend to choose a "reference" sort of pose -- usually ending up with a right-side or left-side profile view. It makes it easier to design all their intricate details and draw out. On the other hand, if it's a character I've drawn regularly (which it usually is NOT, heh), and I've already solidified their design to how I want it, that's when I can feel free to experiment with new poses and such.
But since I'm drawing a new character almost every time, it's hard to do that.
