Pretty much. But I wonder how different a person I would be if things hadn't been like that. Oh well. It's happened, it's overwith and done. If it happens again, I'll be more prepared. But I REALLY hope it doesn't. As they put it to us at the dojo: "If you play with knives, you get cut".

The knife thing was a couple years ago. Now I've thrown myself into martial arts, so i can strip knives, and I've learned how to block them, or how to find a makeshift weapon for self defense. So, in a way, it was good for me. But it could have been bad. These kids were stupid to being with, and the teacher was under 5 feet tall, so he was just as screwed as I was if something happened. I saw a stool, but I couldn't reach it, b/c the kids had made a half circle around me and some cabinets. If I had gotten that stool, I'm sure I would have been suspended for self defense. Yes, that sounds wrong, but that's how this idiot school worked.

I wish I had gotten that. They weren't fascinated by me. They wanted to test me. I never got into a full fight. One fight ended when I pushed a kid over a ping-pong table. Another time, I really didn't want anyone to get hurt, so I broke this board in half by diving through it. It sounds dumb, but I was just trying to avoid hurting anyone.
One day, though, it got really bad. I had 6 knives pulled on me in a tech class. I'd never had that before, and I was so shook up (and weaponless), I coudln't do anything but stand there. The teacher broke it up. I went home and threatened to sue the school, because they refused to punish the kid's that did it! After that, I started carry ing a briefcase, and I'd put two or three heavy textbooks in there. If a kid came at me with a knife again, he was going to have to go through a thirty-pound object to get to me. I hate it when things get like that. I'm glad those idiots didn't stab me. And now I'm in college, with all these shootings going on, it's just ridiculous. I never let my guard down anymore.
