And that's when Megan ran away. We chased her down the street and jumped infront of her and she leapt in our arms. We carried her back to their house adn they were so overwhelmed they weren't thinking clearly. She had been their only dog out of all their millions of pets after all and they were glad to have her back. Overjoyed the return of their companion, they offered us all their belongings.
"Oh oh! How ever can we thank you? Here, here! Take all of our other pets. You can take care of them from now on! Oh, what the heck. Take everything! Our whole mansion is yours! We'll just move out! Good luck." So they picked up their dog and slammed their door shut without even packing up and they left us with a mansion full of cats, cats, CATS!
Having no other choice but to do as they said, we packed up and moved into our new mansion. Together we took care of the cats and protected them. We fed them and played with them until one day I looked out the window and saw that their lives were in mortal danger. Many of the cats were in the backyard sleeping, playing, unaware of the wolves lurking in the bushes. I jumped in suprise when i saw them and hurried out to collect as many cats as I could and get them back inside.
I ran out, started scooping the felines up in my arms, and quickly getting them back into the safety of the mansion through a small window on the bottom. But the wolves moved in closer, not seeming to mind the cats running around in panick. One cat, named Tammy, who was different from all the others, with a grayish and creme colored coat and long fur, just laid there near the deck as one of the wolves approached her. She looked up into its face with her pale light green eyes and it bowed its head adn scooped her up in its mouth as if it was her cub and then the pack slowly retreated back into the woods.
Besides Tammy, I had managed to rescue all the others and I brought them all back inside just incase the wolf pack came back. All the cats were safe and went back to running around and playing their normal games. I wondered if I should go back for Tammy, but mother had said "Oh no, she's on her own now." But when Snooky, a black tom cat with white spots on his cheek, looked up at me with his sorrowful green eyes I knew i had to do it for him and, of course, for Tammy.
So, I left the mansion once more and began my journey into the woods. For a while there was nothing but soon I came to a clearing in the trees were a bunch of wolves were sleeping in a giant nest made of sticks and leaves. Tammy was snoozing soundly in the middle and I snuck up towards the nest, pulled her out, adn ran as fast as I could as the wolves began to wake up. They chased me out of the woods all the way back to the deck of the mansion but I knew I would make it anyway. However, when I looked into Tammy's eyes it became clear. She wanted to stay with the wolf pack and live her life off in the woods away from her thousands of friends and siblings. I patted her back in farwell and let her go. She padded up to the lead wolf her picked her up in his mouth yet agian and together they turned back towards the woods. The other cats meow their goodbyes to her as she and the pack vanish into the darkness. Snooky feels lonesome yet happy for her. And now Tammy lives in the wild amongst the wolves were she is free and content.
