Wassup ya'll, this ya boy Iceman_1. Just showin' some love to FAC and my friends on FAC. I've decited to take that "I'm the best" thing off. Bullsnake showed me that I should really let down on my ego. But anyway as far as pictures from me, trust me, its gonna be soon just for u people who can't wait to see my drawings. But for now, its just the stories coming out of me and other resources. So make requests now while u still have the chance, cause they're coming soon(and if u do them now all of them would be done when I get a scanner, just give me something to do while I wait. And I would probably be busy anyway when I get a chance to put pics in). And get ready to see pics from the story "Dragon Ball AF"! So get ready, get set, and....

Tyra Banks was my model of choice back in the day. She makes learning to draw fun ^_^

well, the curve of a girl's leg is pretty much the same as a guy's. We all have the same muscles, afterall.
Usually though, with a woman's leg, the curves are smoother, but longer. The best thing to do would be to find some models with some nice legs and copy them (just google image search for like swimsuit models or something), and study their legs (how long are they in relation to the head and the rest of the body, how and when they curve and so forth). Also if you find something that shows you the muscles of the legs, that'll help too.
I had a whole sketchbook devoted pretty much to legs one time.
also learning the way the bones work too. Try to find some books by Burne Hogarth.. I wouldn't say copy his style cos it's really unique/weird/non anime, but he gives good lessons about the dynamics of anatomy.
as for shading.. that's something that isn't really definite cos there's so many ways to do it. When you know what "type" of shading you need and you're not sure how to do it, it's best to find a picture or a source that you can reference. Cos you can shade realistically, dynamically, graphically, etc..
plus there's lots of different ways to go about them. And sometimes you can combine 'em all.

uhh.. hmm.. well w/ that stuff said i guess I AM a mentor sorta.
I'm not really sure what you want though, most people who want a master/teacher just want a person who can take them by the hand and say "this is how you do this, and this is how you do this, and now you have a great drawing!"
If you just meant "mentor" as in someone who periodically gives advice, then I can do that.
Unless you were just joking about this mentor thing like you were the competing thingie..

mentor? I dunno.. I'll help out from time-to-time, but I think the best way to learn is by a lot of practice and time and effort and stuff. I didn't have anyone teach me how to draw manga (plus when I started those How to Draw Manga books didn't exist)! ^_^
Direct, personal teaching isn't my cup o' tea anyway (I don't really think I have the time for it, as it is). I'll give bits of advice every now and then (like in my tutorial pic).. but those aren't really things that you can apply directly to a drawing. They're more like practical bits of advice.
So if you get stuck and you need some small bits of practical advice or whatnots, then ask and I'll help you, but I can't give any in depth CG tutorials or drawing tutorials or anything like that (those are too much work).
You'll figure it out how to do it eventually.. Just get some study materials (how to draw manga books are really good for starts) and practice a bunch. That's the key ^_^
