What I strongly recommend is that you don't get bogged down on memorizing all the readings of a kanji at once. The best thing to do is to learn what comes after the kanji to complete the word/phrase. For example, the word for 'eat' is tabemasu. The kanji that it uses only represents the 'ta' in that.
