I'm sorry. I should have specified. The fanfic my OC, Hotaru, is in, takes place when the characters are older and have genin of their own. As Sasuke is Squad Leader to Hotaru and her teammates, she has been appointed to acting leader when Sasuke is not there. Hope that clarifies.
