Ok well name's Mitch as you can tell. I've been a artist for a few years but haven't drew anything in quite some time due to an injury to my left hand (lefty here)
Gonna try and get back into things once more and hopefully get my art back out there although lost most of my talent. At any rate hope to post something new :)

I personally like to see the progression of a pic cause you can see the developement over time. Its also gives us amateur artists a guideline as to the techniques to use and its effects as you do them. I learned alot from watching your "Tobey" progression. Anyway, I'm dealing with spreadsheets in my comp. class and its driving me CRAZY!! Have a good day!

i don't have photoshop, but i wanna try it someday. i also don't know how to get it...
i never do landscapes, but if i will, i don't do it in every detail. I think this is how i’ll paint it:
first of all, if i paint, i always use the style: impressionism. Just look at the internet for impressionism and you’ll find landscapes which are painted in that style. (i just like it)
If i paint grass, i always look where the sun is, and on that side i use the colors yellow, light green and white, and of course green. And on the other side i use some darker colors, like dark green, yellow, and maybe a little black.
The trees: that’s difficult, of course brown, with white and yellow to show the structure. (i always use different colors then the natural color, that’ll be a little more expressive). and the leafs: just like the grass.
Water is also difficult. When you paint the sun if its shining in the water, use the colors white, yellow and orange, and the water blue (of course) and to show the structure: white, light blue and grey.
And the clouds: i don’t know how to explain this... but i’ll do my best. Use the colors white, grey, and light blue. Paint in short strokes, a little like pointillism. And look outside to see some shapes of the clouds.
I hope you understand it... i had a lot of help from the dictionary, so i don’t know if i used the correct words.

Hey thanks for all the comments! And in reply to your question on what I use for inking, I use Micron pens - they're like Sharpies but more precise, they don't bleed as much and they don't smell either. You can get them at most craft and art stores. ^_^ (I'm also learning to use Photoshop but it's hard -_-;)

Hey MitchellP, I haven't spoken in a while...sorry about that. Been checking out your new art though. It's awesome as always!! Lol, I can understand about giving up shading and coloring on the projects. There gets to a point that it's too much, I know. Like, after doing it for so long, it becomes somewhat boring. You just need a break ok!! I need a break too, but there are still a few requests I gotta do lol. So, how have ya been? I hope you're doing ok!! Thankyou for the nice comment on the comp pic. Thanks too for the advice about the symbolism!! I'll keep that in mind ^_^ I'm not too good at symobolising pictures lol. Thought I'd better try something new though and step outside my lil bubble. But thanks so much for liking it!! I didn't enter to win, just to have fun...so whatever happens, at least I had a go. Well, I'll see ya later ok!! Take care ^_O

Glad you liked it! It was a blast to do, if a little time consuming, but not everything worth doing is easy, right? Try this site if you want to see the original images:
http://www.senntient.com/projects/xtreme/sxc/index.html
If you look on the right and scroll down, you'll see categories, the ones labeled Sonic and Tails are the ones. Click on the pic that looks similar to mine, but the lines are all white and Sonic is turned a different way.
Just in case your interested.
