*sticks her head in* Yo! Sorry to go on a commenting craze with your pictures, but when people ask for advice, I tend to go a bit overboard. Hope that wasn't too traumatizing. o_o;

You're off to a good start here - keep working at it, and you'll improve in leaps and bounds. It's good of you to start branching out from strict copying too. Experiment on your own, and you'll start to fit all of the proportional bits together. Took me ages to get a somewhat decent concept of the human body straight in my head.

BTW, I ended up over here because of your comment on my Haruko picture - her jacket's not on backwards, she's wearing a scarf. I seem to recall that she wore a white scarfy thing in the anime.... Was a while ago, so I can't quite remember, but I don't think I would have added a scarf randomly.
