How far in your area have you looked? The place I wound up picking wasn't very close to me. That's why learning multiple arts at one place can be helpful, less traveling.

I'd recommend finding a good, reputable school that teaches multiple arts. I tackle three of my arts in one day, plus two of those same three a second day a week. This cuts down on travel, and it's honestly easier to focus.

The samurai arts are impossible to teach over the net. Don't let anyone tell you different, either, those people would be trying to scam you.

We live in dif states, so I'm sure we don't see each other everyday, lol. Not horribly likely, anyway.

The samurai art I'm taking now is learned in a class, but you train by yourself. The next samurai art I'm taking, Kendo, is slightly more group oriented.

I'm my own rival, which I doubt is healthy. I surpassed my old self, the lazy, unmotivated psued-martial artists. Now I want to become the tenthy degree black belt in everything, lol. Maybe it'll happen, who knows.
