The Seal of Orichalcos?
Well...that goes into season 4.
But that season was a filler season that wasn't in the original manga. But the Seal of Orichalcos was a field (magic) card this guy named "Dartz" made. (He's kinda the bad guy of that season, but he turns good in the end.)
Dartz had a few "henchmen" that would challenge people (mostly Yugi and his friends) to duels. And they would have the card; Seal of Orichalcos.
How it works is, that when you play the card, a seal forms around the duel area and no one can get in or out.
The person who played the card becomes possessed by the seal (kinda) and all the monsters on the field become real.
Because in this season, they learn about "The Monster World". The world where all the duel monsters live. And so when the Seal of Orichalcos is played the monsters become real and when they're sacrificed they really do die or something like that.
But I guess they can come back to life if you play them in another duel as long as you have their card. o.O lol
But the biggest thing about the Seal of Orichalcos, is that, when it's on the field (I don't think you can destroy it with other cards. Not sure.) whomever loses the duel, loses their soul.
And their soul gets sent to Dartz's lair where he uses the souls to bring power to a beast he's trying to bring back to life. He calls the beast "The Great Leviathan".
So yeah. That was a long message. o.O But that's what the Seal of Orichalcos is. Basically a bad thing. Lol!
