Okay, let's say the assasin TRIED to kill. I evaded a critical blow, counterattacked, killed, and...then what? What happens then?

True, makes sense. Suppose I'm at a distance and unnarmed, and I couldn't counter-attack because of that. If I could reach the knife, different story. But I'm talking being kept as a distance. Closing the distance would be a problem if I'm unarmed, too. Because then she would have time to correct her hesitation, or even just act on instinct. And if I ran for it, I could expect a knife in my back. How would you counter that?

I mean, the samurai charm only goes so far. Unless they have a hakama fetish, then I'm golden...

I see. That was partially my thought. But you know me and Bushido...the whole 'respect women' thing. Now, to throw in a monkey wrench: She's more skilled, and she's clearly thining about this. She gives some order like 'hold still, don't move'. I'm unarmed (what an idiot!), and in no position where I could grab her or the knife. Then what?

That's true (I'll respond asap), but I think it's going well enough. If that new one posts, I think ol Ryouko is going to get the Kaguya kekkaigenkai, and the emotional chakra, which I will remove once I've evened the odds, lol.

Okay, the question: I'm walking along, and some kunoichi knows I'm samurai, and she's got some age-old vendetta. She drops from the rafters and tackles me, with a knife at my neck. Now, she hasn't killed me right away, and she's built in a way that I could overpower her and fight her off.

Now, I could fight her off, but since she didn't kill me straight away, do I wait, since she COULD kill me with a flick of the wrist, or do I make my move and either nail her or fight her off? (See, betcha you chuckled)

What I'm really asking is: It's a hostage situation, one on one, with the captor having one advantage, and me having another. What's the correct move by you?

Oh, and I've got a question for you that might at least elicit a smirk on your end XD
