Stippling is a type of shading or drawing thats very hard, takes a long time, and would make you want to tear your hair out.Its when you make a series of tiny dots clustered together to make a drawing.
Its WAAAAAAAY harder than it looks.
I personally dont know why anyone would want to use stippling.
