A lot of it came from stuff I normally watch and games I play but I started a story because of a movie I watched a while back. I had the idea floating around in my head for a while but never had a way to put it into words until recently.
Also, I have a lot of random characters that I have created that don't have a purpose. I want to write them into a story or something but I can't seem to find a way to do it just yet. Then, I keep getting told to finish one thing before I start something else but when I get blocked on one sometimes I get ideas for the other so that's hard.

Picking up where I started yesterday... Perhaps a bit more streamlined than the random stream of conscience thought I banged out last night.
Don't fret too much about not being close to a voiceover training academy. I know it can be frustrating to have something holding you back - when I first decided I wanted to go into voiceover, I was fresh off the end of a disastrous relationship, and poorer than a pauper. It took me nearly 10 years to get my ducks in a row and begin attending a voiceover training academy. It will never be too late to follow your dream.
But why wait? You don't necessarily have to.
You can do it on you own, but it is a bit more involved. I take it you're in high school or college? Then immediately you should have an in. Half the battle of voice acting is acting and self direction, and your local school's drama curriculum should be able to help with that. You can learn microphone technique later.
A few online services I can recommend -
The Edge Studio's newsletter and blog - they have awesome tips for those looking to get into the business, plus online classes, and even contests where you can record and submit.
Kevin DeLaney's Voiceover Ninja and blog website. Kevin does a really nice podcast about the voiceover world. Definitely check out his website.
You may also want to check out Bob Bergen. He's been one of my teachers since I fist got started in voice over; he teaches classes independently and is super good with beginners.
I know I had much more information here last night, but I'm at work right now and should go back to doing it soon. I hope I was somewhat helpful. If you want to ask me any questions, feel free. I'll be happy to answer.

Hello Darth -
I had just responded to you, but while I was typing away, for reasons unknown, Fanart Central took the liberty of logging me off. When I hit SUBMIT - everything I had typed over the passed hour was GONE. Unfortunately I haven't the time to rewrite everything now, but perhaps tomorrow.
