Yeah, I know how you feel.

Cool! Yeah, practically ALL of the arts run in my family. Drawing, painting, photography, singing, acting, you name it! I think dancing is the only thing we can't do well. I've never been able to dance. XD

Yeah...maybe it paid off...^_^;
But now-a-days, I'm finding competition that I wanna beat and I'm not that far away...so I need to start using references to help me get there faster.
I later learned that it's not considered cheating. Artist's actually encourage using references. That was a shocker to me, since I've never really believed in using references for a couple of years. X_X
Oh well...time to swallow more pride...and hope I don't choke on it. v_v;

I found out why I never excelled fast. :O
I started drawing anime 4 years ago, and I got to where I am now without any art classes, without references, and without art books. (Well...2 years ago, I had an art class, but it didn't teach you nothing about drawing...it was all pottery and what-not. And I'm doing an art class now, but we didn't learn about drawing)
But now, I learned you'll get better faster if you use references and whatnot. So I'm gonna try to swallow my pride and do that. All the pictures on my account, I've never copied from anything else. XD

And any reference pic I use won't be posted up here.
