That is a tragic way of losing a friend Jordan..
But a friend dying and losing a friend the way you lost him..seems the same..but it is totally different..
Consciously you stabbed at his heart..and consciously you tried to hurt him..
You put him in a corner and he had to put his defenses up..
Its hard to lose friends I know..Both ways that you did..
But one friend can always be replaced with another okay..?
Not saying there replaceable..but..there is always someone there..
Whats wrong with your's and Caroline's relationships..?
Did you not have good communication or something..?
You guys seem fine to me..

He is one of those people I've changed too.
Jordan..just accept people for who they are and what they've become..even if you don't like it..
Its called true friendship..
Maybe you didn't get the chance to know him long enough..
But whatever the reason..
He hasn't really changed at all..
Maybe a lil bit..but not much..
