I don't know if it's the lineart or the colors that catches your eye, but I'm just gonna assume it's the lines. Again, this is another thing that's hard for me to explain. I pretty much try and make a circle-shaped line, but looks slightly less curved as it gets closer to the shoulder. I start at the armpit and end at the center. You have to know when to stop your line or it go to far and will look weird unless you want that effect. They aren't exactly circular like it was taken from a perfect circle and just pasted on. If you do think of it as a circle, the upper half is slightly higher/taller than the bottom half. As if it is stretched or something. The bottom half can be exactly circular I guess, it works for me. If all else fails, just study the shapes at different angles. I never teach this stuff unless people ask me, so I hope this helps a bit. I'm not an anatomy expert, either so you may or may not get better info from an anatomy book or someone else or something. Laters!
