Just like every other character you have known, every character belongs to the original creator. Thats why it belongs to them. Just like my Lucia belongs to me.

So if you ever make somthing up, like a character and didn't copy it off anyone then always put this next to it ---> ©
Followed by you're name.
Most of the times original characters are only considerd yours if you were the one that thought of it first and made it.
Though if you copy the character from some other artist and say that you was the one that created the character, then that is stealing that is bad and not allowed.
If you draw someones character and tell them you did, that is fine and it is allowed, just like how you drew my character.

I said its my character because it is.
I WAS THE ONE THAT MADE THE CHARACTER UP.
So I'am its creator.
An artist that makes a character up is called an 'original character'
If you hadn't notice I mostly draw original art more than anytyhing else, so almost everything in my gallery was made up by me and belongs to me.

That means if a person made up a character, a background or a monster, etc and didn't copy it off anything, so its just there ideas alone, then it belongs to them, they need to put there name next to it, like this. ----> © Lynxie

I'm guessing you must have made some original characters before but you never even noticed....
