When Anthony woke up he felt as if he would never rise again. There was a huge lump forming in his throat and for the first time in what felt like forever, he cried. Alice was at his side cradling him in her arms. How would he ever show his face again?
“There there I’m sure you won’t be in too much trouble,” said Alice.
“I’ve never felt this kind of humiliation in my life. Now that they know that I’m the one who murdered Prince Timo they will not be so friendly with me. Maybe I can’t even be the obliterator anymore,” he sobbed.
“Well, we will see, won’t we?” she said quietly.
They had been summoned to the palace by the queen. Not just Anthony, but Rosie and Alice as well. He did not want to go but the girls made him go. Every step toward the palace was an effort. He felt like he was going to be sick. He didn’t look around for fear of the looks people would give him.
